CHANGES TO CENTRE ACCESS:

From mid January, the ‘Jag’ entry to Chadstone on the west side of the centre will be closed. Access to the centre will be available through the David Jones department store during trading hours. Outside the David Jones trading hours, a free shuttle will run from the carpark outside the store to the Myer / Matchbox entrance on the eastern side of the centre.

Our aim is to keep you informed of everything relating to the exciting development projects the centre is currently undertaking. We look forward to revealing the Centre to you once completed. The centre has a dedicated team working to ensure an ongoing, customer friendly retail experience.

In order to ensure you get all the information you need, we have now created a 24 hour Resident Hotline, as well as a dedicated email address. The Resident Hotline service has been set up to answer questions about the development projects. You can contact the HOTLINE by dialling Centre Management on 9563 3355 and pressing option 5. This feature will take you directly to a live customer service operator 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. This customer service operator will ensure you are contacted by the appropriate person, with a response to your enquiry, even if you call when our Centre Management Offices are closed.

The next phase of the David Jones to Target mall development works has commenced to make way for international luxury stores opening later this year. Please be aware of the following temporary changes to Centre Access and Car Parking during this time:

DAVID JONES CARPARK CHANGES

The entrance closest to Princess Highway has now been altered to provide customers with an additional point of exit from this car park from the Upper Level and Mid Level.
Access to the David Jones car park from Chadstone Rd is possible via the ramp to the basement level from 8am Monday to Saturday and from 9am Sunday. Vehicle access from the basement to the Ground and Upper Levels is possible via ramps within this car park.

CENTRE ACCESS CHANGES

The ”Jag" Entrance (centre entrance closest to David Jones) is currently closed and will re-open at the end of the year.
Customers parking at the David Jones car park can enter the centre through David Jones external entrance on the Ground or Lower Ground levels.
Outside of David Jones trading hours, a shuttle will transport customers between the David Jones Ground Level entrance and the Ground Level Entrance closest to Myer. This shuttle will run 1 1/2 hours before Centre opening hours each day and for 1 hour after Centre closing hours at the end of the day.
There is no Pedestrian Access between the AMF/Target car park and the David Jones, however, a shuttle transport customers between the David Jones Lower Ground entrance, and the Bus Stop at the rear of the AMF/Target car park. This shuttle service will run between 8am to 10pm Sunday - Thursday and between 8am to Midnight on Friday & Saturday.

ABOUT THE DAVID JONES TO TARGET MALL DEVELOPMENT

The new mall development at Chadstone will encompass the area between David Jones and Target – comprising 25,000m2 of retail and 1,700m2 of commercial space.
Constructed over two levels, the new mall will complete the racetrack loop on the lower level matching the existing ground level retail plan in this part of the centre.
At the southern end of the mall closest to David Jones the introduction of international luxury brands across two levels will complete the total fashion offer at Chadstone.
Upon completion, this development will elevate the retail offer at Chadstone to more than 500 stores, with over 9,500 car parking spaces.
The new mall will be finished in high quality materials of natural stone, glass and stainless steel, creating a world-class space of style and elegance.

Car Parking during the works

Chadstone Shopping Centre boasts the largest shopping centre car park in Australia. Currently the centre has over 9000 spaces available. During the project only a minimal amount of car spaces will be affected by the works. At the completion of the projects Chadstone Shopping Centres car parking spaces will increase to a total of over 9500 spaces - more than any shopping centre in the country.

Please Note: All disabled parking spaces that have been affected by the construction works have been relocated to adjacent areas in the same vicinity where possible.

Centre access

No external centre access into the centre has been affected by the construction works. All entries remain open. This may change during the project, so please keep checking this page for updates.

Pedestrian access

Access via the Midlothian Street pedestrian pathway into the centre has now been restored with the completion of the JB HiFi project. The pathway and roadway to the ANZ entry has reopened to both pedestrians and motorists.
All other pedestrian access pathways to the centre are currently open to the public.

Public Transportation

All public transport bus routes continue for the duration of the construction works. The works will not cause disruption to the current schedules and services.
