Chastone is located at 1341 Dandenong Road, Chadstone, Victoria 3148.

(If you are programming the address into a GPS system, please enter 1341 Dandenong Road, East Malvern - instead of Chadstone)

Entry to the centre can be made via Warrigal Road, Dandenong Road, or Chadstone Road.


By Road

If travelling to Chadstone by road, direct access is available from the Princes Highway coming from either the City or Dandenong directions.

The Monash Freeway also provides easy access from the Warrigal Road exit, from either direction. If travelling from the City, exit and turn right into Warrigal Road (left if travelling from Dandenong), and turn right into Middle Road, leading directly into the Chadstone car park. Chadstone is signposted along this route.

Entry to the centre can also be made from Chadstone Road.

Parking At Chadstone  

Chadstone boasts the largest shopping centre car park in Australia, with over 9,500 free car parking spaces, many of which are undercover.

A number of parking spaces for the Mobility Impaired are located adjacent all entrances. The Centre also has a number of parking spaces allocated for Parents with Prams. Clear colour-coded car parking signage directs to all major car parks.

Signage at the entrances to the Centre reminds customers of which car park they are entering/leaving. For easy identification, the car parks are named after the major stores nearest to them.

The Chadstone Road and Middle Road exits close at 10pm each evening.

Park Assist

Park Assist has recently been installed into the David Jones Multi Story car park. This facility is the latest technology available in automated parking guidance systems and has been installed to assist you to find your park faster! Look out for the signage highlighting the number of available bays on each car park level.


By Train

Chadstone is located close to four train stations:

  • Oakleigh, Hughesdale and Murrumbeena stations on the Dandenong, Cranbourne or Pakenham lines
  • Holmesglen Station on the Glen Waverley line

A short bus trip completes the journey to Chadstone from these stations. However, for the more energetic, the Hughesdale station is only a short 10-15 minute walk along Poath Road to Chadstone Shopping Centre.

By Bus

With over 900 bus movements per week, from 13 suburban bus routes, Chadstone is easily accessible by bus, as all drop off and pick up from Chadstone frequently.

A map is available from the Customer Service Desks showing the individual bus bay locations for your return journey.

Chadstone is easily accessible by bus with 13 suburban bus routes stopping at the centre.

From Oakleigh Station take one of the following bus routes:

  • 903 'To Altona' to get to Chadstone.
  • 742, 800, 802, 804 or 862 (towards Chadstone)
  • 900 (towards Caulfield)

Hughesdale Station is just a 10-15 minute walk along Poath Road to the shopping centre or take bus Route 767 (towards Box Hill).

From Murrumbeena Station take bus Route 822 (towards Chadstone)

From Holmesglen Station take bus Route 624 or 903 (towards Chadstone)

Chadstone is located in Zone 1 & 2 of the metropolitan fare system.

By Coach

Chadstone is a popular tourism destination. If you are a coach operator or driver planning to bring coach parties to Chadstone, please let us know you are coming.

Whilst this is not a requirement, we can assist with directions for coach parking, answer any questions, and also prepare some Visitor Passport for your group (for country, interstate and overseas visitors).

Getting To Chadstone By Bike

Vitoria has a large network of off-road bicycle paths and on-road bicycle lanes. The Scotchman's Creek Linear Trail and Waverley Rail Trail come to within easy reach of Chadstone Shopping Centre.

Visit www.vicroads.vic.gov.au for maps of the nearby bike tracks. When at the Centre, bicycle racks are conveniently located outside Pets Barn, Forever New, and the AMF Bowl entrance on the lower level.
